Welcome to BCORMA and the best riding in the world
Current Situation
=======================================================================================
The rains and some snow have started to come to most of the Province. While we now don't have to worry about fire dangers and closures, riding in loose muddy soils can wreck a trail and cost $1000's to repair. Please be careful where you ride, and don't go into areas that are soft. If you don't have the skill to ride the trail without spinning and trenching, don't go there. Save that trail for when the conditions are better and your skills have improved.
Do your part and show them we care about our trails, the environment, and other users. We have some of the finest riding in the world. Lets keep it.

We have $1,093,348 of matching funds so far, so thanks to everyone, BCORMA and our clubs will be spending over $2.4 million on trails this year in British Columbia.

BCORMA was in a major fund raising drive to raise $1,000,000 Federal trail funds for 2009 trail stewardship in the Lower Mainland (Blue Mountain, Chipmunk Creek, Squamish, Hope, & Vedder), Lytton, Okanagan, Kamloops, Taylor, Revelstoke, and more.
The National Trails Coalition has $3 million to spend on shared use trails in BC for 2009. $1 million is to be spent on the summer motorized sector, but we need to match it to get the money. The National Trails Coalition will provide us another dollar to put into the trails you ride on. Thats $2 for every $1 BC trail users provide.

While we have reached our target for this year, we encourage everyone to continue donating to the BCORMA Trail Stewardship Fund. They money will continue to be used here in BC to give you great trails. With riders' funds, I can go to the Federal and Provincial governments and get matching funds for 2010.
Use our PayPal link to donate to the trail stewardship fund or donate directly through a local club towards the BCORMA Trail Stewardship Fund!
We will be working on trails used by everyone. With 140,000 quad and off-road motorcycle riders in the Province, if everyone gave, we would have our $1 million of Federal National Trails Coalition funds for 2009. Thats $2 million in total on trails for summer motorized trail users in BC. Think how great our riding would be with improved staging areas, camping, more trails, signed trails, and maps.
Please get the word out to all riders and any other trail users you know! This is very important!

We have it all here in British Columbia for the local and visiting rider. Incredible vistas while riding dual-sport, National caliber MX tracks, 1000's of km of single-track from the dense temperate rain forest of the Coast to the grasslands of the Interior. Six foot ferns to 200 ft spruce and fir, northern desert to Rocky Mountains to mossy coastal rock, open Forest Service Roads to expert level trials terrain, we got it all.
Government estimates we have over 100,000 km of trail in the Province, with the vast majority open to responsible off-road motorcycle riders. Do your part and show them we care about our trails, the environment, and other users. We have some of the finest riding in the world. Lets keep it.
Above all, enjoy this fine old planet, and don't forget to smile. And buy the trail-stewards a beer next time. They put their heart into this for you to enjoy.
