Message from the President

I encourage all off-road riders to step up and volunteer to take responsibility for your local riding areas:

  • Form a local riding club to be officially recognized, and to join BCORMA and the PNWMA.
  • Meet with other user groups to listen and ensure there are not outstanding or unresolved issues that may cause your area to be shut down to riding.
  • Carry a handsaw, cut branches and throw deadfall off trails to keep them clean and safe.
  • Hold family fun events such as trail rides, or competitive off-road races that bring tourism and business to your communities,
  • Make sure you take out the proper permits and insurance, BCORMA and PNWMA can assist you with these hurdles.
  • Work with your local MoTCA (Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts) Recreation Officer to improve your area, and to source funding (matching funds available annually from COHVA/MCC through BCORMA).
  • Step up and get a BCORMA Trail Pass to support your local trails building, maintenance, and repair.

Yours truly,
David Lock
